About Sophie Uma
Born on a small island off the coast of Cape Cod, Sophie Uma spent her younger years between Nantucket, Massachusetts, and Carbondale, Colorado. Growing up in small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, her love for the arts was nurtured at a young age with the help of her Waldorf education. She fell in love with theatre after her 6th grade production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and continued to pursue theatre in high school, at Colorado Rocky Mountain School. Upon graduating, Sophie Uma attended UC Santa Cruz before transferring to the New York Film Academy where she studied at NYFA’s Acting for Film Conservatory. Sophie's passion for film and television has and always will be the driving force of her life and career. She currently resides between Los Angeles, California, and Nantucket, Massachusetts.
Dialogue should simply be a sound among other sounds, just something that comes out of the mouths of people whose eyes tell the story in visual terms.
